The collaboration agreement signed this Thursday involves the development of joint training actions, sectoral events and professional recruitment actions.

The Association of Information and Communication Technologies (TERA Cluster) and the Defense Industry Cluster of Cantabria (CID) signed a strategic alliance this Thursday to strengthen the technological and industrial base in Cantabria.

Both organizations bring together more than 80 companies and entities in the region with different common objectives in raising awareness among local companies about the need to group together, collaborate and seek synergies to be able to participate more strongly in large local, national and international programs.

TERA and CID will create a joint working group that will identify possible training actions of interest, promotion of new mentors and recruitment of professionals. The two organizations agree on the need to promote research and technological development in the defense field, which generally has a dual application that reverts to the benefit of civil society.

The President of the Tera Cluster, Pablo Gómez, has underlined “the extraordinary and symbolic opportunity to collaborate with another sectoral Cluster, joining forces in strategic sectors for Cantabria”.

At the same time, Carlos Besoy, President of the Defense Industry Cluster, insisted on the need for alliances between clusters, companies and public bodies in order to tackle specific projects of interest to the industry in Cantabria.
