Evenbytes, the CTC Technology Centre, Lis Data Solutions, Deduce Data Solutions, Viacore IT, SIALI and Ambar Telecomunicaciones, all of them companies associated with the Tera Cluster, have been the protagonists of seven of the nine ‘Meetwins’ that have been presented at C-Meet 2024, real cases of technological solutions that have managed to increase the operational efficiency of companies outside the ICT sector. The event, organised by CEOE-CEPYME Cantabria with the aim of highlighting digital transformation to boost business competitiveness, has brought together more than 500 professionals and 300 companies from different sectors of activity, from technology to steel, the textile industry or transport and logistics companies.

With this data, C-Meet consolidates its position as one of the main meeting points for professionals and companies from Cantabria and outside the community. Once again, this forum has been a space to reflect on how technology can make our lives easier without being experts in the field. Hence, it is not just an event for experts in the ICT sector but is also open to those businesses that need to innovate and modernise to face the challenges of today’s market.

Evenbytes has been in charge of opening the Meetwins and has done so with a process digitalisation platform for Serveo, a company dedicated to hospital cleaning and industrial maintenance, which required a comprehensive tool that included all the services provided by the company. CTC, for its part, has explained together with Textil Santanderina its Automated Inspection of Textile Products project, an automated system with computer vision (VA), Deep Learning (DL) and advanced colorimetry to detect defects and monitor colour in fabrics, which has allowed the factory to improve the quality of the finishes and reduce costs and waste. Likewise, thanks to the creation of a control tower in Power BI by the LIS Data Solutions team, Maflow Spain Automotive has managed to integrate all its data and, thus, reduce the time it takes to search for information. A successful example of how to take advantage of the potential of data to improve business efficiency.

The first day of C-Meet also made room for Deduce Data Solutions and Viacore IT. The former presented, together with Reinosa Forgings & Castings, the HEFESTO project, a tool that generates personalized estimates based on historical data from the steelmaking process, valuable information that has allowed them to optimize the energy consumption of the furnaces and facilitate strategic decision-making. Viacore IT, for its part, took the stage at C-Meet with the logistics company Reparte, which has gone from being a practically analog company to an example of innovation and digitalization thanks to personalized management software, an ICT solution that has allowed them to control routes in real time, reducing costs and improving the experience of delivery drivers and customers.

On Friday, it was the turn of the SIALI project, an inspection tool for steel and aluminium parts that, using two rotating robots, shows each part in two cameras and in six different positions. In this way, it is possible to detect tiny errors and reduce the costs and time required for manual controls. Finally, Ambar Telecomunicaciones showed its smart building project for the Madrid headquarters of EDP, an advanced infrastructure of the latest technological generation that has managed to meet the challenges of connectivity, convergence, mobility and high availability faced by the headquarters of the energy company, which has a thousand users spread across two buildings.

With the participation of these seven companies, the Tera Cluster has had an important role in the largest event dedicated to innovation and digitalisation held in Cantabria. An event that has also included presentations by top-level national professionals such as the general director of Cabify in Spain, Alberto González, or the director of Technology Transfer at Estrella Galicia, Nuria Alonso. An event held in a relaxed atmosphere that made the difference with a startup competition in which, in just two minutes and inside a ring, they faced the challenge of captivating the public by presenting their innovative ideas.
